Hi Chris,
That's funny that you should say that... maybe I'm just think in the radius of Cleveland, Ohio, where there is NO diversity at all. We have a little "China Town" but it's small, about the size of my house. I know in California there is a bigger Asian population, and diversity there, but it still brings us to the whole interracial babies and couples, it's not common. Maybe I'm living in the wrong country. In order to be accepted by society, I would have to live in Asia, or maybe Europe... We will see, I'm studying overseas next year in London and either Tokyo or Hong Kong. I've heard from my friends who travel for work to Hong Kong and Tokyo that it's really expensive in Tokyo, but in Hong Kong it's like living in New York City. But knowing that residents in Hong Kong speaks English as well, puts me at ease. I honestly think I'm going to have a hard time "fitting in" with the culture and the people there. But I guess I would have to wait and see. My friends has also told me that in Hong Kong, you would think it's mostly Asians living there, but you see a lot of "white" people LOL. I don't know how true that is, but I guess that's why it more accepting of interracial couples and babies, because the race population may be "a little" equal? That's exciting that you and your wife plan to have babies... Growing up I was told by world renowned doctors that I wouldn't be able to have a baby, or carry a baby full term. After thousands of dollars spent and tons of testing done, it all came down to an assumtiom that it's gentics reasons. So when I got pregnant several years later it was, a shocking, flipping miracle. I knew I wanted to be a mother, to my own natural birth babies or adoption, I took the risk of having my son. I had to quit working, give up school, and be on watch from doctors and family, it was a medical order. It seemed like I was a prisoner for a whole year...My son was born very early, my body wasn't adjusting to having a baby inside of me. So 36 hours of labor later, I had a very, very tiny baby. But he was still healthy, but tiny. Now he's a chubby, chunky monkey...that I love, and just want to gobble him up. I've been through a lot just to have one child, and if I can do it again, I would, in a heartbeat. That's why when I see couples who are expecting or planning for babies in the future, it humbles me. I wish I can get pregnant easily, but if I can only have one healthy baby, it's good enough. That's why I had my son so young, doctors told me that, I had a better chance of having a baby now than later. Am I still going to try for another baby once I get married? You betcha! If it doesn't work, with science and technology today, there are options out there for me, hopefully by then it will be so advanced that I can get pregnant by my "future husband" looking at me. LOL J.K I don't know you that well, but I know you and your wife wll make great parents. :) Cheers!

@MarisNoydara -

Tokyo is awesome. i'm going there in a few weeks.. just for holiday. actually japan has to be the most entertaining country ever, it is impossible to get bored. the only trouble is nobody speaks English and nothing is in English. even when you get on the subway, you have to memorise the symbols otherwise you don't know where to get off and where to head to. getting anywhere is pretty difficult so you have to be very good at directions (my wife is, i'm rubbish) Hong Kong is the opporsite.. everywhere is easy to get to, most people speak some English and everything is in English so you don't have to learn another language. Also it's very small so it's impossible to get lost. It's not as interesting as japan, but it's alot more westernised.. japan is just japanese. haha.. if that makes any sense.
i don't know if my wife and i will be good parents.. she's a kindergarten teacher too, so we'll both be really knowledgable until they get past 5 years old.. then we'll be completely clueless.
thats great that you could have a baby after all that. he looks so cute.. makes me want to have kids sooner rather than later.

take care

chris
